Climate Spook

“We do not “come into” this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree.”- Alan Watts

Ahh, so where do I begin. In times like these we desire to rid allostatic load and stress. Global Warming is knocking at everyone's front door and every day that passes by more and more animals face extinction. Predictions say by the end of the century half of all species on earth are facing extinction. All of our actions have consequences. We're on this ball together and karmas one cunning son of a gun. we've bitten off the hand that feeds and expect the rine-hearted to save us. We're living in the Anthropocene where humans rule all for better or for worse. We crave the new tech product every year. We desire to looked up by our peers via double taps on magic glass. I can't even have a conversation with a stranger because he'll ask me to follow him on Instagram. And when I talk about climate change a deep sense of disconnection enthralls you. Its like pitching a line and hitting concrete. Terrence McKenna called it the fallacy of misplaced concreteness.  Look up stop staring at your feet and experience the world for what it really is. There's wildfires in the west-coast. Hurricanes in Huston. Just here in Vegas we've been in a 160+ day drought.  There's a severe disconnect. We've become creators of our own fate. Its a light balance of synergy like fission-fusion in flux. That which creates life has power to take it right back. Denying the vitality of the gaean mind leaves the whole world blind. By 2100 half of all living species on Earth face extinction. If we don't change drastically in the next ten years, the worst is before us. The earth will be irreparable analogous to a run-away reaction of self-destructive cycles. The universe is apathetic. The Milky Way is actively hostile. How can we even dream of making it to Mars if we cant even hold down the ground before us? And what really peeves me off is the excuse "one person can't change the world." as if you're speaking on the behalf of everyone. And wouldn't you say that's every kids dream? To change the world. No man wants to die alone knowing they've made no difference. That their existence was just as much as the wind blowing in the trees. But it's ultimately up to you. You decide weather you want to think about global warming, or recycle, or cut your carbon footprint. Sorry, its a game with no winners. Thanks for reading and Happy full moon :)
